A very special day in Kayros’ headquarters for the closing of the season of Fondazione Milan’s project Sport for Change
Brushes, buckets full of colorful paint, imagination and joy, were the ingredients that animated the special day at Kayros’ offices in Vimodrone to celebrate the end of of this season.
During the last months, the boys followed by don Claudio Burgio, responsible of Kayros Association, participated to a program designed to help them in the social rescue path through twice weekly trainings, because sport and football convey positive values such as the strength of the group, compliance with the rules, as well as regaining trust in others. Alongside the sporting activity, in the second part of the season, the teens, entrusted to the community because in conflict with the law, also took part in a workshop created in collaboration with Artkademy during which they prepared the wall painting project that was then executed.
The boys chose the subject and the words of the wall painting after a path of self-awareness, of group-awareness and consciousness of what they are facing.
And now, on the wall that runs along one of the two short sides of the five-a-side football pitch inside Kayros headquarters, there is a new version of the famous painting “The Fourth Estate ” by Pellizza da Volpedo, in which the peasants are the youngsters who took part in the Sport for Change project led by Don Claudio Burgio. Alongside the images, some key words have come to life including: prejudice, welcome, shelter, sport, change, redemption, respect, courage.
Together with the boys, the Sport for Change team and Artkademy, there was also Ivan, the urban poet, who shared his art during this very special day, a moment that closed the season and raised these youngsters’ awareness of their human and social value.
Una giornata di festa alla sede di Kayros per la chiusura della stagione del progetto di Fondazione Milan Sport for Change
Pennelli, secchi pieni di pittura colorata, fantasia e allegria, sono stati gli ingredienti che hanno animato la giornata di festa alla sede di Kayros a Vimodrone dove è presente uno dei presidi del progetto di Fondazione Milan “Sport for Change” per la chiusura di questa stagione.
I ragazzi seguiti da don Claudio Burgio, responsabile dell’Associazione Kayros, durante questi mesi hanno seguito un programma che potesse aiutarli nel percorso di riscatto sociale con allenamenti bisettimanali, perché lo sport e il calcio hanno la capacità di veicolare valori positivi quali la forza del gruppo, il rispetto delle regole, oltre a far ritrovare la fiducia nell’altro. Accanto all’attività sportiva, nella seconda parte della stagione i giovani, affidati alla comunità perché in conflitto con la legge, hanno partecipato anche a un laboratorio realizzato in collaborazione con Artkademy in cui hanno preparato il progetto di murales poi realizzato.
Sono stati i ragazzi a scegliere il soggetto e le parole che hanno composto l’opera attraverso un percorso di conoscenza di sé stessi, del gruppo e di ciò che stanno affrontando.
Sul muro che costeggia uno dei due lati corti del campo da calcetto presente all’interno della sede di Kayros è nata così una rivisitazione del famoso dipinto “Il Quarto Stato” di Pellizza da Volpedo, in cui i contadini sono diventati i giovani del progetto Sport for Change guidati proprio da don Claudio Burgio. Accanto alle immagini hanno preso vita anche alcune parole chiave tra cui: pregiudizio, accoglienza, salvezza, sport, cambiamento, riscatto, rispetto, sport, coraggio.
Insieme ai ragazzi, al team di Sport for Change e ad Artkademy, anche Ivan il poeta urbano ha condiviso la sua arte per questa giornata di festa, un momento che ha rappresentato la chiusura della stagione ma che ha anche determinato la consapevolezza in questi giovani del loro valore umano e sociale.
