Calcio Seduto

When football becomes inclusion, play, and shared growth

THE PROJECT

Calcio Seduto was founded in 2022 from the desire to create a space where all children can play football, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities. The project came to life thanks to the initiative of Alberto, a coach at A.S.D. FatimaTraccia, and his brother Jonel, who, due to a motor disability, cannot walk but has never stopped dreaming of playing. With the support of the La Zolla school, Seated Football offers an educational, inclusive, and fun environment where sport truly belongs to everyone.

THE PURPOSE

The aim of the project is to promote inclusion through sport, offering children aged 7 to 12—with or without disabilities—the opportunity to experience social interaction, collaboration, and the joy of play. Training sessions are designed to help participants discover their bodies, improve coordination, and develop motor autonomy. At the same time, the project reaches out to the local community by collaborating with schools, sports clubs, day centers, and professionals from the educational and rehabilitation fields, creating a network capable of spreading a new culture of integrated sport.

BENEFICIARIES

The beneficiaries of the project are children with physical or cognitive disabilities, as well as typically developing children who choose to share the experience of play with them. Encounters with diversity become opportunities for mutual growth, exchange, and discovery. Alongside them are coaches and volunteers who, week after week, learn to see sport and life through new eyes. Families find a welcoming and supportive environment, where children are valued for who they are and where every small step forward becomes a great victory.
