Evelin and dreams that come true – Sport for Change

In the heart of Nairobi’s slums, where every day is a challenge, there are boys and girls full of talent and determination, ready to turn obstacles into opportunities. This is where Evelin lives.

Evelin is 14 years old and lives with her aunt along with her brothers and sisters; parental figures have not been consistent. Her life began to change when she discovered Sport for Change, the program by the Fondazione Milan.

Here, she found a safe space to train, grow, and feel supported. On the field, she learns teamwork, self-belief, and how to push her limits, facing challenges and learning to overcome them. The shyness that sometimes keeps her at home gives way to confidence and friendship.

In 2025, Evelin had the opportunity to participate in an international tournament in Norway, where her team played with passion and determination, claiming victory. For Evelin, it wasn’t just a trophy – it was proof that with the right support and dedication, dreams can become reality.
