The female footballer, Raffaella Manieri and the “Legend”, Ambrosini, were speakers at the event promoted by Fondazione Milan
An audience of 180 youths from the Istituto Comprensivo "De Andreis" and two Rossoneri guests were at the Institute's headquarters for the second meeting of "Fondazione Milan in the Community". The project born from the collaboration between Fondazione Milan and Vita was inaugurated with the aim of pairing sports world champions with young students.
After the defenders Mattia Caldara and Francesca Vitale - who had inaugurated the project in September - and the former Rossoneri players, Serginho and Cristian Brocchi - who were guests of the Liceo "P.Bottoni" in Milan on 29 October - it was the turn of the defender of AC Milan's Women's First Team, Raffaella Manieri and at the Rossoneri legend, Massimo Ambrosini, to tell the kids about their experience with respect to "Choice and passion". They talked about the most important phases of their lives that led them to play on the big stages of the sports world.
Raffaella Manieri dwelt on the importance of parents and teachers in the growth of children: "There are moments in life when one is faced with obstacles and one is not always ready to overcome them alone. In those cases, family support is crucial, parents in particular, who try to direct their children in the right direction. The same importance is played by teachers, coaches and all those central figures in the formation and growth of children, giving solutions to questions that are not always known in adolescence".
Massimo Ambrosini, on the other hand, spoke of the passion that helps to overcome difficult moments: "Whatever path you want to take, in sport as in life, you need passion, willpower and great determination: only in this way can problems and difficult moments be overcome. It is not always easy, many sacrifices are necessary, but the satisfaction that one then gets in achieving great results is immense".
