Fondazione Milan awarded the “Paola Sarro” prize

An important award for the Rossoneri non-profit organization.

On Sunday 3 November 2019, before the kick off of Milan-Lazio, Rocco Giorgianni, representing Fondazione Milan, received the “Paola Sarro” award.

The prize commemorates the doctor Paola Sarro, from Pontecorvo (FR), who was on board the WFP1999 flight to Kosovo that crashed on 12 November 1999. She was leaving for a humanitarian mission.

As the proponents of this award say: “Such recognition wants to honor and thank who has given help, energy and passion supporting the community, just as Paola did”.

In the past other organizations, like Terres des Homes, Fondazione Banco Alimentare and Trenta Ore per la vita, have been awarded.

This prize is an honor and and it makes us continue in the mission of Fondazione Milan: support those in difficulty with sport and its values.
